Goodwill Grows is all about food

…real food that tastes good and is good for you. We believe that food can be a powerful vehicle for making our world a better place. Everyone eats and everyone has a relationship to food. We strive to strengthen that relationship so that you, your family and your friends feel better, more resilient and connected to your community. Our mission is to grow happy people. We nurture food relationships through work on self-sufficiency, food security, nutrition and community food culture. We want you to be the next person to discover what we have to offer and begin making a difference in the life of one of your community neighbors, your family or even yourself.

Community Gardens

We are proud of our Community Garden Partnership, which includes 8 community gardens throughout the Fox Valley that serve over 700 individual gardeners each year. We treat our gardens like neighborhoods: each gardener receives their plot of land that is theirs to harvest from, but we all work in community to support and encourage each other. We estimate that it is possible to grow over 600 pounds of food on one plot! The Goodwill Grows Community Garden vision is to encourage you and your garden community and put the success of the community garden in your hands. There are endless opportunities to share garden knowledge and experiences, meet new friends and build a beautiful garden to be proud of.

  • Full Plot: 500 Square Feet – $20 per season
  • Half Plot: 240 Square Feet – $10 per season

Click the sign-up form below to be placed on the community garden plot waitlist. Plots go every year on a first come, first serve basis. There is no requirement for joining and registration and fees will be collected once you have been assigned a plot. Every fall, gardeners will have the option to re-register their plot for the following season. If you are a returning gardener with plot number(s) and wish to garden with us next year, please click the link below to register.

  • Market Gardens – Our Market Gardens located on Brewster Street, Greenville Drive and at Southpoint Commerce Park are collaborations with Outagamie County and the City of Appleton. Every year we give this land and access to water and inexpensive farming supplies to beginning farmers so that they can get their business started on a bootstrap budget.
